I am thinking of getting a new airtel postpaid connection for using Mobile Office Service only (On PC).I am having two options: first, just buying a new sim and using it with any EDGE enabled phone(Nokia 6020 or 6233 I already have) or buying Airtel USB modem as well with the sim(Rs 3350). Please tell which option would be better. Or should I buy any other handset (with EDGE support, Nokia or SE) for using this service at about the same price. There shouldn't be any difference in speed that I would get on each, but if it may be there, tell me.
I have another doubt as well regarding Nokia 6233. Does it always show E sign (for EDGE) whenever connected to data services(GPRS/EDGE) or does it show G when EDGE is not available. Whenever I open AirtelLive on it, E is shown and the speed is very good. But on 6020(which is also EDGE enabled), exactly at the same place and same time, the pages take too long to open.
Please advise regarding using GPRS
