Question Abit ip35E Goes crazy when i plug in my earphones..

Hi all,

Got this funny problem.. when i connect my earphones to my pc, via the audio jack in front, i get very low volume, even if i crank it up to maximum.. the jack at the back of my cpu works fine..
Sometimes, (not always) when i plug my earphones into the front jack, realtek audio manager pops up askin me what device i plugged in.. it then keeps popping up no matter how many times i select 'headphones' frm the list..

Am i right to assume this is a problem with the mobo? i use Abit ip35E, and i've installed the latest audio drivers from realtek's website..

I tried googling, but couldnt find anything useful.. has anyone had similar issues?

Try doing a complete uninstall of all audio drivers and software. Then if possible install only the drivers(no sound manager)
