Hutch is giving unlimited EDGE only with postpaid for only Rs.899..... dont talk about aircel, reliance smart, bsnl.... aircel has no such unlimited plan..... Reliance smart have EDGE for Rs.303pm, but speeds are really worst in compare to Airtel, and network coverage is very bad BSNL doesn't provide EDGE in many places, and they provide unlimited scheme only for postpaid customers for Rs.199 so dont imagine for 3G, those guys cant yet provide EDGE in all places...... Most people don't even know they can access net on phone. Also it seem making a tower 3G capable is lot more expensive than the transition from Gprs to Edge. After all these telecom operators already make profits ^^ with their gprs/edge with pitiful speeds. They won't be in any particular hurry to give 3G for the minority. But if someone decides to do the Gmail magic , then we are lucky

afaik the decision to sell spectrum is still pending.

Read it in some forum, don't remember where......i think i read it in some forum or blogger site when i was inquiring abt the 3G of N82..........this might be one of the many rumors about 3g coming to India before 4Q 2008
