idea gprs query..

how do i change the "data bearer" mode in samsung i450 to "gprs"?? i recieved the settings from idea but they said i need to change the data bearer from "packet data"(which is selected by default) to "GPRS".. how do i do it?? there is only 1 option in data bearer field which is "packet data".. GPRS is not even in the option list!! lol

got ne clue??

thanks for the express quick replies guys!! .. but its still showing me "packet data connection not available"..?? and there is a setting in tools menu under packet data settings as:
"packet data access point" which is blank.. shd this be blank??

For Airtel"packet data access point" is airtelwap.com...Don't know about IDEA as it's not available here in Banagalore..Call CC...

Also "airtelgprs.com" is for accessing normal websites.

Access point name should be imis, you have to give proxy also which is 10.4.42.15:8080 this is for wap, if your plan support full internet access then access point name is internet and don't put anything is proxy. for connection name idea suggests put IDEA_gprs for wap and IDEA_internet for full access, but you can use what ever you want as this don't effect any thing. this is what i am using for a year with idea

yeah.. i have done that.. but, have a look at ur "bearer".. it should be gprs right?? in mine, its packet data (which ppl say is similar to gprs) and its not workin..

sigh!.. looks like CC ko call karna padega..
