Question Micro sd card:Which Brand to choose?
I am Buying 1GB Micro Sd card. for Nokia 6085.
have option between Transcend & sandisk. Buying it online from futurebazaar to avoid fakes.

Both items come at same price of 299/- + shipping


which one to choose?

Sandisk or Kingston.

Sandisk, Kingston, Kingmax.. most of them come with lifetime warranty (5 years). Stay away from NCP. Had bad experience.

All these warranty applies to Singapore,HongKong & other countries..NOT to India as ALL of them are 'stolen' stuff.

ONLY microSD comes with warranty in India is 'MoserBaer' & that too 1yr only.

Nah, its a s40 Phone.
Does not matter to me much, as i only use it for Text & Voice.
Sometimes i also use BT via A2DP

Cell supports upto 2GB. but 1gb would be enough for me.
As, i don't listen to Music on Phone, for that purpose i have a PmP.

a shop here is selling 8GB micro SDHC for 2.4k.is this price ok?does the N82 support 8GB micro SDHC.

its a Sandisk 8GB microSD.

Not sure about other but this surely is NOT the case with Kingston products. They honour a 5 year Indian warranty.

I am now finding my 2 GB Micro SD small, anyways will get a big one later with my next phone.

@Krazzy - According to some reviewers, Nokia 5700 supports 8 GB cards. But check it before you buy.

Yeah I know. That's why I'm planning to get as big a card as the device supports so that later on I won't feel the lack of space.

I've read about people using 4gb cards in their 5700 without any problems. But the thing is 4gb falls under HC or High Capacity. And when a device supports High Capacity it should theoreticaly support upto 32gb. So in my opinion if 5700 supports 4gb it should support 8gb as well.

Btw how am I supposed to check out a 8gb card in my 5700? The shopkeepers won't allow me to do that. And I don't know anyone who has a 8gb microSD card.

well i searched for series 40.and here it says it comes under series 40v2.

It means that Nokia 6085 runs on Nokia's Series 40 v2 platform.
