how to use email and myfriends option in Sony Ericsson using GPRS

Hi,
I am using Sony Ericsson w300i,i use Airtel GPRS connection for net,All sony ericsson phone has inbuilt option of email client and chatting option using MyFriends,
I donno how to configure,pl help,i want to receive email like sms with a sound,which will be much useful for me!!!

hi,
i got the the steps to configure the Gmail in your handset

Go to Main Menu.
Select The messaging option.
Select the E mail option.
Go to settings.
Select the option to creat new account.
Write any name of your choice.
Select the E mail alert
Select the connect using
** In this option select the operator
Enter your existing E mail account
Select connection type "POP3"
Incoming server "pop.gmail.com".
Enter your user name and password.Outgoing server address "smtp.gmail.com".
Go to advance setting.
Enter your name and signature.
select send & recv download limit
select new mail check interval time
select allow connection as any network.
Select Encryption
** Select Incoming server as "SSL"
** Select Outgoing server as "SSL"
Enter the password of your mail.
Enter Incoming port as "995"
Enter Outgoing port as "465"

Go to Inbox and do the send/recv and accept your mails.
i am able to receive mails!!Great

Are you sure your service is Mobile Office and Not Net On Phone?

currently only gmail offers free pop3 access... use morange...simple to configure....I m also having problems configuring my email client which comes by default in nokia 6681...
but i can do it using morange very easily..

^^Yahoo India and Aol India also offer pop access. With gmail you get IMAP as well
