Re: PDA's under Rs.10,000
Well, the choice is upto you for deciding between a PDA or Smartfone...
Low end Windows Mobile phones suck due to poor camera and sound playback...But their mailing features are definitely better....If you want to buy a PDA, then get ready for spending atleast about 15K because cheap ones won't be worth...And you'll also have a better and more options available in the 15K category...for eg. HTC Touch
If strictly a Windows Mobile for 10K, then get P3400 as Knight17, Pathik suggested...
Else get a Symbian smartfone...Preferably N73 with a good camera for about 11K...

Re: PDA's under Rs.10,000
yes, its got small screen p3400 don't have wifi..I am using it now...I did not find any reason to move to HTCs high end models as p3400 does what I needed ... wifi was not in my list . if you need wifi then e51 is the best choice. but its small screen can be a pain..u decide.
are you really going to use wifi a lot???
buy a phone that suits your present need than looking for everything under the roof.
give a good research ,if possible get a handson on all the models and then decide..good luck

Re: PDA's under Rs.10,000
Regarding Wifi, I have a question. In my apartment there is a wifi spot for browsing the Net as, residents are working people. Will I be able to use that for the mobile as well.
I also would like to know about Instant Messaging, does E51 have it ?

Does this mean browsing will be very difficult? I checked other model on a website and more or less the screen sizes are similar. Correct me if I am wrong !

That E61i looks superb with all features as well.
Browsing shows (X) HTML in E51.
What kind of browser is that ? Same like IE ?

Yeah, for sure but only if its not password protected. If its password protected, then you need its password.

Now, you've a variety of options......All the fones mentioned below have Wi-fi. Some of them also are 3G but no use of 3G at present in India.
HTC Touch: http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_touch-1999.php It lacks 3G & Infrared. But it has a touchscreen....Its Windows Mobile 6...
HTC S710: http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_s710-1891.php It has both the keypads - Sliding QWERTY keyboard and the normal one. It again lacks 3G & Infrared. Its Windows Mobile 6...
Nokia E61i: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e61i-1858.php This one is a complete fone with 3G. It has everything but its quite heavy if compared to others. No touchscreen though. Its Symbian.
SE P1i: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_p1-1982.php This is also complete like E61i but it lacks EDGE which is important in India but its 3G. It has a Touchscreen and a superior camera 3.2mp then all the others I mentioned.
