Bose Triport Around ear Headphones

April 26, 2008 Recently my aunt gifted me a pair of Bose Triport headphones
They look like this

Sadly these headphones didnt have noise cancellation, but if volume is more then half they cancel most ambient sounds
so Natrually i wanted to test then to the limit Now all sorted and i connected them to my Ubuntu Machine
Songs i tested them on (i used audio cd’s):

• Take a look around- Limp Bizket (For checking bass)
• Turn the page-Metallica(highs and mids)
• My Aria Bass Guitar with my amp(Extreme BASS )
• Highway to Hell-AC/DC(mainly sound quality)
• Back in Back-AC/DC(sound quality here too)
• Forsaken-Dream Threatre (highs)

The packing was basically a Pain the ass. It was so hard to open it that i tore the Entire box with my swiss knife It came with a good carry bag and a 3.5mm to (dont remember name , used my most amps, fat pin) extension so i could connect it to my amp, without searching for my old jacks

RESULT:

• Great bass
• Mids are ok(not comparable to bass)
• Highs are Good

So if u are a person like me who needs lightweight headphones and great music quality you should DEFINATELY go for these

+ Light & comfortable, Sound quality "Fair" – poor build, expensive

Sound quality is just "Fair"; the headphone is sensitive at low vol. Comfortable to wear & good cable length. Bose should work on the interface materials used, thin/delicate cable, the cushion gave away within 2 yrs of moderate use and the plastic material used is too brittle. Not recommended for the price in $120+ range buyers should consider other options.

Congrats for getting Bose.

Triport headphones cost around 7.1k in India.

If you go for Sennheiser, you get stellar quality headphones and triport will feel like roadside stuff before them.

PS: Even EP-630 sounds better than most of the bose headphones.
