N82 Dilemma

Hi people!

Im planning to buy an N82.. The only problem is color. Its only available in Silver in india for now.. The black one looks better (to me at least), but i've heard mixed reviews on both the colors on the internet. No one has any idea when the black one will arrive Now i dunno what to do, buy the silver right now, or wait for the black, which no one knows when it will arrive

wud like to tell u one thing:
the new s60 browser of N95 8GB and N82 wont allow u to download files which cannot be opened by any of the fone's system software (like .rar files).this wasnt the prob with N73ME.

yea the black one wont bew available for sumtime..its been released only for the us market yet..will take some time to come here..a month or two at the least...

The NSeries India website is showing the black colour N82. So I guess it won't be long. BTW the silver looks good too. Don't base your judgement on pictures. Check it out in a shop yourself and then decide.

I happen to own the silver one, I bought it after a long line of black phones and I have to admit it looks great.

Just chipping in here, the N82 is a fantastic device. I actually had the opportunity to fiddle around with it for half an hour, and I can tell you, it is insanely smooth and completely lacks the problems that prevent me from buying the N73.

The silver looks great IMHO, but I would say wait for black to see if they've changed the finishing. The silver is a fingerprint magnet, and I mean a magnet. It makes the back of the iPod look good.

There are some little niggling details for you to consider though. I didn't find the Audio Quality up to my expectations, and the ringer volume is really low.

The buttons are slightly hard to use, depending on how big ur fingers are, but u'll get used to it

congrats... now when the black officially comes u can get the real black cover and change it

I don't think the covers are interchangeable. Even if one does manage to change the front and back panels with the ones of the black version there is no way one can change the sides of the phone which are light brown in the silver model and black in the black model. So you'll end up with one freaky looking phone!

@KaranTh85:I am using N82 for the past two months and can assure you that this phone has one of the best sq when paired with good earphones,output volume is low as compared to N81 but sq is same and better than N95.Only drawback is that the phone refuses to download unsupported formats.

sound quality through earphones is very good .. coupled with ep 630 .. just heard a same song on my n82 as well as my friends n91 4gb with ep630 with all the same eq settings .. and i did not find much difference .. now since n91 is considered the best for music playback then i would say n82 is not that far behind ..

get this phone as soon as possible .. one gem of a phone .. u wont find a single user of n82 making complaints .. the best all round phone till date ..

only drawback is speakers are not as loud as n73 .. but that is a minor one ..and then looks ..if ur cool with it then no probs.. camera , music , symbian performance , xenon flash , vga video recording , wifi , gps .. etc ..everything about n82 is top notch ..

and also build quality is superb too . mine survived a hard fall on ground ..

Hey Does it support NGage games(demo) coz N95 & N81 has Ngage games
I've heard dat screen display(brightness,contrast) of N95(8GB) is better...

I need N82 because of:
1) its looks(better than N95) coz I like candy bar fones...
2) built quality
3) camera quality (spl xenon flash)
4) for net use...
5) for music....

BTW, this phone has a dual CPU and a hardware graphics accelerator too
