Default HTC touch dilemma

I am planning to buy a HTC touch for my cousin however I really doubt the capability of the IE mobile on it. Did some Googling but wasn't too convinced. Is it capable of rendering only WAP 2.0/xHTML pages or it is equally good at rendering full HTML pages.

Anyone with a first hand experience of this phone? Should I go for it?

iPhone is way too expensive and that too without any warranty.

Dear Friend, you can install 'Opera' browser or PIE (pocket IE plus) for better browsing!

Windows mobile has amazing choices to choose,

Enjoy!

Yes, have a look at this
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/

I have installed chm reader from there, and DivX player from http://mobile.divx.com

The only grouse I have is I am not able to connect it via USB to SuSE. odccm starts, detects my phone when I plug it in and then does not register it Tried adding ports and disabling the firewall too but no use. I am able to connect through bluetooth object push.

On Windows XP, I tried internet browsing on the phone through the USB cable just to see how it works. I primarily connected it to the internet to install updates (none available yet) and update my antivirus (Norton). You do not have to enable network bridging. Routing is through ActiveSync

All in all a very good phone, good voice clarity, fewer call drops than when I had my Nokia 7610. There are some quirky things though, for example there is no group sms. This can be remedied by installing a software from the above site^^.

I tried Minimo on my HTC Touch... A little too unstable and tends to hang a lot. Opera Mobile is much better.
