Small sony ericsson synchronisation question

hello there i have synchronised my sony ericsson k700i contact list and now the mobile is not working can i transfer the same phone book with some other model of sony ericsson if i buy a new one

Plz provide information on what exactly you did for syncing...which software and what is the error message..
