Saw it. Hey gdatuk, sam1710, r u using the N95? My N95 8GB (S60 3rd ed FP1) isn't able to install RotateMe 2b5 unsigned, even after installation of the N95 Accelerometer Plugin & disabling certificate checking. I'm still getting a certificate error!

You need to sign the installation file with a Developer Certificate. You need to create a Dev Cert from symbiansigned.com . But getting a DevCert has become very difficult now as they have blocked publicly available domains.
Google to find out how to sign the file.
PS - Their is a workaround available on the net

Your DevCert is tied to your phone's IMEI no. So you cannot install anybody else's signed app unless the certificate used was for your phone.

Nokia fan switching to SE! Give advice!
Hi!
I have a friend who is a die hard Nokia fan. He is currently using a 6681 but feels like he needs a new phone. He was thinking of buying an N73, but after he tried one out, he found it way too slow [in terms of menu browsing etc..] to be to his liking..... So due to unavailability of any good nokia phone he decided to get an SE. His primary use of his phone is to make calls, keep reminders, listen to a lot of music, play games. Camera is not that important. But a good keypad [or at least good navigation buttons] is a must. Also, he hates joysticks, which is another reason he is not getting the N73. Also, the screen MUST be big!
So I recommended that he get a w910i....
Any other suggestions? Even Nokia phones accepted as suggestions.

Re: Nokia fan switching to SE! Give advice!
I recommend nokia 5700 Xpress Music.
Good screen,fast phone,excellent music,good keypad,average camera.
BTW what is his budget?Or he is ready to spend?
If so look for SE W960i.

Re: Nokia fan switching to SE! Give advice!
N73 with v4 is fast enough. Just ask him if he wants to sacrifice features for some menu speed.
Show him these videos - http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76358

Re: N95 : Samir Edition - A completely different league gadget!
Wov, what luck today. I had an account on SymbianSigned, i had even created a cert in May or June i dont remember. But the 6 month period expired on November 11. I tried to login to create a new cert, but what rules! Since i had not logged in for 6 months, my account was deactivated. It had an option to deactivate, but the deactivation mail would show up all blank!! I tried it many times.
Then today, when i tried it again after around a month, it somehow got sucessfully activated!
Will try and make the cert now!

Those applications will work on any S60 phone with accelerometer. They will even work N82, it has 5MP with Xenon flash.

Why don't you ask him to go for the Moto ROKR E6, it's got a big screen with real player to play all the music and MPEG4 video as well. Link
If it's SE and a budget, the new K530i would be a great deal for 8.4K. Link

Re: Nokia fan switching to SE! Give advice!
I think he should go for Nokia 5700. Also an N73 with the latest firmware isn't slow at all and its hard to find a display this big at this price.
If his budget is around the cost of N73 then he wouldn't afford W910i anyways as it costs around 17k. K770i imo is very ugly and doesn't have a big enough display.
