unlocking motorazr v3

my cousin lives in new york.
he sent me a motorazr v3 mobile phone.but it is locked for at&t network which is not available in india ...
how can i unlock this phone so that i can use it on ny other network??

I think its better if you ask it at http://www.motorolafans.com as its a dedicated forum for Motos and most of users here own a Nokia or a Sony Ericsson.

Don't get me wrong, but I got a Moto(E6) too and proud of it. Just think its wise to ask there.
