Having K750i for 2 Yrs. What next ???

Hi Friends,
I am having K750i for around 2 yrs and I love it. Although I am not having any problem with it but I want to change it because it does not have EDGE. I am using Airtel Mobile Office so speed will increase with EDGE enabled phone. My budget is only around 8000-10000.

My requirements are -
1. It should be EDGE enabled.
2. Screen should be at least 240*320 so that I can view websites easily.
3. Symbian OS/Word/Excel will be good. (Not compulsory)
4. Sound and Camera ( Average quality is sufficient)
5. I don't change phone frequently so it should be reliable like K750i

So after searching I have found these options-
1. Nokia 6233 (Solid)
2. Nokia E62 (No Camera, Slow)
3. Samsung E840 (Word/Excel are there but no idea about Samsungs)
4. Nokia 5700 (GPRS-EDGE class 32 ,Slightly out of my budget but I can go for it if it is very good)
5. Nokia E50 (Business class but camera only 1.3)
6. Tell me if there is any other which I am missing.

UPDATE : I have added MOTO ROKR e6 also in list.

I like Sony Ericssons but in this budget display size is not 240*320.

so far two replies and both for 5700, thanks. I have to think for this seriously. But I am afraid about the life and quality of its rotating panel, is it solid enough?
Azzu, I think 5310 does not have Symbian and the price difference is not much so 5700 is better what you say?

5310 is a s40v5 fone. And the 5700 has a great bulid quality. go for it.

i Suggest u to Xpand ur Budget and go for k790i ( i forgot in my last reply )

K790i is good but i think 5700 is having Class 32 GPRS/Edge that can improve internet speed. And it is 3G also. (for future)

I will sure look for 5700 it the build quality is so good.
In between i have checked that 6120c is also same like 5700 but why it is not available in India.

Choice is yours !

If you want to go for SE in your budget, I would suggest W810i. Eventhough it's considered to be outdated it's the most robost and Value for money mobile.

Azzu - k790i has class 10 GPRS.
Only Nokia 5700 has CLASS 32 GPRS & EDGE.

2. No Symbian in 5310
3. 5310 is less weight
4. 5700 has flash light
5. 5700 has 3G.
6. Price difference is only around 500 Rs.

Please don't mind but I think 5700 is better. Or I am missing some plus of 5310 over 5700?

The only problem u might have with 5700 is tht it is longer then most other phones. that's it...other then that it's an awsome phone.

Hey, even I have a K750i since septembar 2006, What should I upgrade to ? Nokia N82, SE W960i or iPhone

i am using a 6233.. edge speeds are very good... i would recommend it anyday!

So I am seeing that 5700 is favorite at this time. But I just came to know that 6120c is also having Office Applications (Word/Excel etc.). So should I wait for 6120c or is there any method for installing these application in 5700 for free.

u can search for the Softs there r many available
and i think 6120c will take time to release

Yes.You can always install office suite(word,excel,powerpoint) on your Nokia 5700 & do your work.
Also the symbian software library is such a big one,that u will find many great software than java.So this is a big plus in taking a symbian phone.
As usual java will work great on Nokia 5700,so you won't miss your K750i apps.

Also the review you read was written by me on 5700 itself.See it's a good smartphone.

Only the camera is crap.But buy a digicam after sometime & you will not regret the phones cam.

I say take this phone with your closed eyes.Truely a gem phone.

But this phone has only Class 8 GPRS & EDGE, that's bad.

It means that I can go for 5700. Now the only thing is left to prepare myself for stretching my budget around 2000-3000. . But I will go for it as everybody has advised for it. But I am surprised nobody has said anything about Samsung E840/Nokia E50 i was supposing these are good mobiles.

While writing this post I was thinking that there is no EDGE in MOTO ROKR E6 but it has. So what about this phone instead of 5700 because it is touch screen.

ROKR is good option,if you want touchscreen.But rokr has class 10 gprs & edge.

While 5700 has class 32 gprs & edge & 3G.So it will provide you the fastest net speeds.
The speeds are good than any other phone.I am using this phone as a modem.I browse through this forum mostly from my nokia 5700 or using it as a modem to pc.

The decision is yours.You want touchscreen+edge or class32 edge,gprs,3g + symbian.
I still suggest Nokia 5700.I have mentioned why i don't recommend ROKR E6 in my review.

Cool G5, how much is the difference between class 10 and class 32 in terms of speed? I am changing my k750i only because on internet speed so if 5700 has better speed than i will go for it only. But I am in doubt about EDGE in rokr again. in other thread somebody are saying it has while other not.
