Re: which is the cheapest wi-fi/wimax enable phone?
imate sp5m is good. But a 65k screen. Yuck. That's really really bad for a 10k+ smartphone. a big NO for this.
bluetooth 1.1 instead of ver.2
USB 1.1
This is 2006 phone. not a 2008 phone

all the WM5 devices hav 65k display cuz of compatibility issues.i've used a iMate JAMA whihc had a 65k display but the display quality was pretty good.

AFAIK most of the WM5 devices available within 14k hav Bluetooth 1.1 and this hurts pretty bad.

Re: which is the cheapest wi-fi/wimax enable phone?
@assasin
I have an HTC S710. It has a 65k color screen, WM6.0 Standard Edition, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, EDGE, GPRS, two keypads and sells for 14.3k with bill and warranty. Excellent VFM

Why do we need WM5 mobile when S60 and WM6 smartphones are available for similar price.

Re: which is the cheapest wi-fi/wimax enable phone?
Well. Compare HTC S710 with the following phones:
1) HP Ipaq 512 (WM6 for 12k)
2) Nokia E61i (S60 for 15k)
3) E51 (S60 for 12k)
4) n80 (S60 for 14k)
5) Nokia E65 (S60 for 15k)
6) Motorokr (Linux for 12k)
These phones are much much better when it comes to all round performance and usability
My pick will be E61i. Gorgeous phone with full qwerty, fat battery and 16M screen.
if you don't want wide phone, go for E65, slider model
For basic smart phone, you can get E50. 8k. S60 OS. Rock solid performance
