gmail does not open !!!

well i have a new n72 with me ...

vodafone live is active. all sites open except for gmail.

dont know why ... plz help ...
is it bcoz its a ssl ?? i have tried using https://www.gmail.com .

There is a java application for opening gmail. Use that. If you go to gmail.com/app, on your Java-enable mobile phone and download the small application, you'll be able to use Gmail, almost as easy as on your desktop.

vodafone live is only for opening wap pages ...
your option doesnt work. my colleague who has a pretty old Nokia handset is able to access gmail thru Vodafone Live.
i m wondering why it wud not work in mine. it used to in my old handset N3220

use third party Gmail wap site, i was used for a few days, can't recall the site name.

well, using a third party site is an option no doubt.
hmm...
the error message which i get is "unable to create a secure connection for this site". sometimes it gets thru and many times it doesnt.
i cant figure out why it cannot create a secure connection.
if i call vodafone helpline i m sure some idiot there wud say "Gmail server may b down", so i m not gona call them ...

Its so simple buddy ..
Use t9space for all ssl sites even orkut too..

try opening mobile.gmail.com on ur cell...

the gmail application is also not working on the cell phones...its simply just refuses to connect......also in airtell too the secure connection problem occurs....nothing better with vodafone.......if any one is able to run the gmail application please post ...thnkx

u can use opera mini (if ur fone supports). practically everything runs well in it.

its safer than other third party wap sites..
