Default eAAC+?

Hello,
Can anybody tell what the eAAC+ audio format is and how good is it as compared to the mp3 format? Is there any software that can convert mp3 to eAAC+ format?
Are m4a and eAAC+ one and the same?

Use dbpoweramp to convert mp3 to aac.
aac has better quality than mp3. aac loseless is one of the bets audio compression format, but not supported on most mp3/aac players.
eaac+ is also gud, but not as gud as loseless aac.

m4a use same audio codec of aac for compression nd playback, so theoritically same.

M4A is just a container for AAC format. As aravind said, you can use dbpoweramp for eaac+ conversion.

Switch to aac, you'll surely feel the difference.

eAAC+ is a version of HE-AAC and its way better than MP3. Its specially used for low bitrate streaming audios and internet broadcasting.

I heard at low bitrate, eAAC+ is 2 times better than MP3, but it fights with WMA.

At 96 Kbps or more mp3 is better than eaac/eaac+ but worse than aac-lc. eaac and eaac+ are optimized only for low bitrates.
