My pendrive cum mp3player aint working

Guys i got a mp3 player it was working fine..my frnd took it fr sum use after he got it back im unable to insert data or delete data .wen ever i try tat it says
"The disk is write protected please try it in other disk" i have no idea wat to do .even i cant format my mp3 player it gives the sme message...plz help me for this .....waiting for reply as fast as possible.

most probably virus problem.Use a good antivirus(avast should do ) and scan it.

avast is not that good
i bought an original disk of avast and installed it and then it blocks my games from installing and starting and i also had problems using firefox it deleted firefox whenever i ran it
go for nod32

1.avast is free of cost.and I believe no home user buys professional version
2.The virus i am talking about is detected by avast 101%.
3.antivirus deleting firefox????stops games from installing???

i dont know my computer guy charged me 500 and bought me a disk

If ur mp3 player supports Hold function ...then write protection is always ON
....so slide the Hold key to switch off this function.

it is definitely a virus problem...its a trojan...i faced it earlier..
i formated the drive completely and scanend with nod32
and removed the virus..
its back in action now..try it
