Visarjan Aftereffects

My old trusted cell 6610i has its display gone kaput after Tuesday's visarjan..

Actually had d cell in pocket bu during visarjan it rained n i forgot tat i had cell in my pocket(but was in plastic)..so after returning home,I realised d blunder...
Now it has no display(slight ray of light appears) but keypad lights r fine n working.Only d display is not proper but cell is still i nworking condition ie. I can make calls(provided I no d no.),recieve calls n get to know tat iam recieving msgs(thanx 2 vibration) but cant see..

So wat do I do...

btwn the cell aint under warranty so wud i be charged..??
its abt 1.5yrs old..

And can I transfer My msgs n contacts onto my PC using PCSUITE before goin to service centre where I guess all this wud be lost...

Even if you had the warranty u had not got it,coz nokia doesn't cover liquid damage in their warranty.
You will be charged.

You can try to backup the contacts.I am not sure whether it will work.

how much wud it turn out to be(approx)..
coz if its high then i wud just go in for a new cell..

Iam hopin that i can backup the contacts coz i have d contacts in the phone only...

tats at Nokia Service centre rgt..

wud it be advisable to show a local guy to repair so tat cost wise it comes down...

And I checked into Nokia India Website to check 6610i compatiblity with Nokia PCsuite n found out this..

Features supported by Nokia 6610i





But for connectivity i got only two options Infrared and using Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42,which I guess is different from the normal Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-53 rgt...

i guess it aint damged coz it shows sums signs of light cumin out...

Also can i use a Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-53 instead of Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42 for transferring data via PC Suite..
