i guess i should have put up a warning in beginning that they all will need their respective languages in FS !

now have added that.... i thought English was preferred language all over.

i want the k550 FS cuz i want the cybershot and w610 main cuz of walkman 2.0 =P cybershot-walkman.. i think the k550 has a slightly better camera =/ correct me if i'm wrong

k550i FS or w610i FS.......hardly matters..

now too late yaar... coz i don't access to topsony.. its my friends who have

use that k550i FS
and upload nice acoustics
nice new cam drivers
and nice new walkman skins
and nice new flash menu

its going to be same as w610i
only thing is it shows k550i in status... that's all...

My phone k550i has developed a problem as of recent use....previously it used to work like a mass stoarage device like its supposed to....but now it doesnt show up now.....when i plug in the usb, it asks for whether i should use it 4 file transfer, phone or normal....and when i select the file transfer mode....it does its thing by going in standby mode also.....but its not detected in the computer..... all my other mass storage devices are working fine,....plz help.

you can simply flash back the required FS and there you haf it

jus try to connect it to some other computer. i don't think there's any problem wid the phone. i guess the mass storage drivers on ur computer are messed up. try to remove this device from device manager (in windows) by enabling the hidden devices option then let it install the usb mass storage driver again. do your other mass storage devices (usb hdds, flash drives) work properly?

it can be because of improper device drivers
then try a master rest...
reinsert battery and sim card...

if nothing works.. try goto SESC they will fix it .may be replace the modules..all for free

even tho i don't see any post of urs stating any fiddling around wid the phone's firmware but lemme ask this: did you fiddle wid it? if yes, then you may try flashing it again. if you are unsure about it then take it to the service center.

another possibility could be a bad usb cable. check that too!

ok lemme pput this in detail...when i plug in the usb withmy phone connecetd, the phone asks for the optin whetehr i want to go file transfer mode or print or phone mode....when i select file transfer it restarts to act like a mass storage device...but the whole time it is not detected by the PC...

I havent fiddled wid da firmware and my cable is fine as i hav checked it wid other phone also..

can i get a replacement ???i bought this phone in punjab but am right now in mumbai...can i get it checked over here??and where??

yeah you can get it check over anywhere for free till one year provided you produce proof of purchase. just head to the nearest SE service center.

jus got SE site and search for the contact info of SE service center in mumbai. alternatively the warranty card will haf a list of all service centers and the contact info.

yes dcu 60 is that cable... goto SESC they will fix for free..
or replace.. am sure.
