you'l have to find a rom update... check i-mate's website for proper rom upgrades... if its been released, it has to be on the website...
and i reckon a lotta people use rom hacks as well... dunno about those...
google for "wm6 for k-jam"
and i reckon you need proper registration to download upgrades from i-mate's site...

Hi thanks,

I could find some "ROM Upgrade for i-mate™ K-JAM" from their website.

I think two of them will suite and I little bit confused with which build is mine'

In My Imate Keyboard there's also Arabic letters along with English letters.

so what would be my phone build ???? Arabic or English?

this is what I got from Imate site for upgrading ROM

For the Arabic Build:
Rom version 2.16.9.102
Radio version 02.07.10
ExtROM version 2.16.9.102

Please note before proceeding:
You will not be able to downgrade to the earlier K-JAM ROM build, once this upgrade has taken place.

Select HTTP or FTP link to downlaod the Arabic ROM.
K-JAM_Arabic_2160901_21609102_20710_ship.zip (56 MB)

For the Worldwide English Build:
Rom version: 2.16.9.1
Radio version: 02.07.10
ExtROM version: 2.16.9.101

Please note before proceeding:
You will not be able to downgrade to the earlier K-JAM ROM build, once this upgrade has taken place.

File name: K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip
File size: 57 MB

To download the WWE ROM choose your link based on your location:

Europe: Click here

Middle East: Click here

Others: Click here

Which one should I select.

please help me.

is there any key needed to perform the upgradation ???.

I've upgraded the ROM to ver 2.16.9.1 WWE
Rom Date 2/6/06
Radio ver 02.07.10 etc

but it's not WM 6

still it's WM 5.0
some changes are there like OS 5.1.195 ( Build 14847 .2.0.0)

and feel some little bit speed when running applications than earlier version.

that's all about.

but my question is still remaining.

How can I upgrade WM 5 to WM 6 ???????????

Crossbow(WM6) is not officially released for Imate K-JAM,

However, you can try unofficial 'Crossbow' ROMs,which are available in 'xda-developers' website for KJam(otherwise known as 'Wizard')

But,remember if you install unofficial ROM,warranty may become void!

Don't worry I've tried so many unofficial Crossbow ROMs for my JASJAR!
They are absolutely safe!
