i was thinking to buy a cell with edge so i can browse the net fast. do u think its woth taking edge. can u tell me the price fro surfing with edge in various networks like hutch, airtel, etc & how much do they charge for activation of edge???? is nokia 6300 good fo surfing?????? i'm really confused. please help me out.

firstly many operators have not got edge in various areas check if your area supports edge.Then we can suuggest you and about nokia 6300 ya its a great mobile

i think you have got ur new comp right
go for airtel connection (prepaid) here in a.p it provides rs.15 per day UL
and get a data cable for ur mob dont go for infra red or bluetothfor connecting to net

i don't need Edge to surf on the comp. i want to surf on my mobile. i live in south delhi. i think most probs my area has edge network.

dont buy nokia 6300 for any reasons !!!!

if ur budget for phone is 10k then go for k550i 8.7k best phone....its slim also as !! 2 MP cam with autofocus Good music player and has got Edge..great interface !!
with this u buy good earphones like hpm 70 for 700 rs original which rock !!

else there is Nokia E50 u ask pathiks about this phone....its a business phone actually !! so this thing should be great for Email and browsing etc !! but not that good multimedia phone !!

if u want to surf from fone only then get a e50 or a 5500...
you ll get 3 great browsers(opera mini/opera mobile/ucweb) wit them + the inbuilt webkit browser best for surfing websites... also get NOP from airtel.. rs2/day.. if u take any se or a s40 fone u ll be able to use only opera mini + the wap browser..

i my opinion 6300 is good coz of 3G but no 3G provider in INDIA yet
pathiks have more experience for cell phones as i see his post on cell phones and on GPRS
but pathink Question, my N3230 dont came with OPERA inbuilt but am using its full version, (not mini opera) so u r suggesting him to buy e50 coz of opera only

yes 3G is welcome !!!
dont u think even 3G if introduced soon will be costly ???

1st thing u will have to pay heavy for 3G sim card
then for the connection as whole
and then pay even for GPRS !! which might be costlier compared to 2.75G Rates !!

that's why i dont insist on 3G any soon....if they are on par with current rates...great !!

may be the service might be cheap initially and later go costly..who knows what

@almighty i know wat u mean.. I m using opera mobile that way only.. But u shd go ahead and use the webkit (default) web browser in any os9.1 fone nd u ll understand wat m talking abt.. Also in an s40 fone u wont get any of these.. And aks u dont need to take a separate sim for 3g.. The 128 k bit ones ll do.. Also it shd be cheap hopefully..

webkit is the default web browser in os9.1 fones.. It has a nav pointer u can use like a mouse and supports js and to some extent ajax.. It s great.. Btw netfront wont work on os9.1.. Btw u using symtorrent to dl torrents na? U ll get that on os9.1 too
