Do P990i and K750i support 8 GB MMC?

Hey Guys,

Just read in some threads that 8 GB MMC is supported on P990i and K750i. Is it true? I'm planning to get an 8 GB MMC from the US, but I'm a bit scared since I'm not absolutely sure if it's compatible. Can anyone throw more light on this please?

First of all K750i and P990i don't support MMC, but instead Memory Stick PRO Duo. Secondly i don't think MSPD's are available over 4gb. And even if they're available in 8gb, there's no way these two phones would support it.

^^ That 8gb card will never work in those phones. They came much before the card came. That card is only for digital cameras and PSP.

^^^ no brother. the memory addressing is same for both 2gb and 4gb (i'm not sure abt 8gb). so even if the phones advertise support only upto 2gb these phones can support 4gb. thats for sure

^^^ thats always an option! but afaik the development cycle of k750/w800i is complete. which means only critical bugs will be ironed out in the firmware otherwise there will be no more new firmwares and hence no additional features. but 4gb support is for sure now!

^^ infra i know that 4gb cards are supported in all SE phones. I was talking about 8gb cards which i'm sure are not supported.

I have heard some guys saying that 8gb card runs flawlessly on W810i in other forums(can't remember forum name).

i'm not sure man, but i really don't think 8gb can be supported by k750i.

i remember reading somewhere that the addressing is same. so i guess we can expect these phones to support 8gb too
