Can J200i be used as a Modem?

Need this help for a friend in gurgaon who has a SE J200i phone. He wants to use it to connect to internet usign Airtel Mobile Office in gurgaon, but he is refraining from buying a new phone (which he should anyway).

Can his existing J200i be used as a modem with data cable? If there is a data cable.

cable is available but only for sync. but there's no inbuilt modem in that phone.

Ok ok.....thoda kangal hai woh aaj kal, that was my recomendation though I m sure he will buy a E50 soon, can that be used as Modem ?

i suppose yes. if he needs that only as a modem, i think he can check out 6070 or the similar kinda phones. i think even the k320i will do.

yup.. The e50 rox as a data modem.. Tho airtel sux..

I told him to either get E50 or N72 cos most of the time he is away from computers, so Opera Native rox.
Also told him to look at SE W580i & W660i.
