3G n edge

see am not a phone freak and so is unaware of 3G n EDGE capabilities. though i know 3G is for 3rd generation connectivity i don know it's capabilities.. and edge i don know what it does.. i have no idea.... Actually i wana to buy a phone within 8K but could not understand which to choose K750i or Nokia 6233
please help me make me understand this two things EDGE and 3G and give me the current prices of these 2 phones it's actually frm a previous post: Phone within 8K

The main difference b/w 3G is that 3G can provide the connectivity of 2mbps but edge can provide max. connectivity if 460kbps . EDGE can trasnfer only data at a time but 3G can tranfer data and voice both at a time so it possible video calling and online video streaming .

get a 6233.. Its got both.. And k750i has neither
