transcend tsonic 610

I have a transcend tsonic 610 which i bought six months back it was working fine until yesterday even if there are mp3 in it too it says ni music files . i tried upgrading the firmware with v3.4 and it says " cannot lock device " error . what can i do ?

Maybe you should format its memory once and then try filling it with songs again and check whether it works.

This problem happens when the player's file system gets corrupted.
The files will be present but it will show no files and while copying a file windows will take around half an hour.

What you have to do is, first switch on the player. Then with a sharp pointed object like the tip of a ball-pen press and hold the RESET button for five seconds. The player will get switched off.
Now, hold on the play button and connect it the computer.
Generally this problem happens in one particular folder. So, you can leave that one and copy the rest to your hard disk. Your MP3 files are in it.

Now again remove it and reconnect it. Start the Transcend Firmwire update program. If it says "cannot lock device", then goto Task Manager and shutdown explorer.exe and try again. Better restart windows. Then start the Update software and then connect the player.

It will be ok.
