AMD Turion 64 X-2 is better or not..?

I m planning to purchase a Notebook..
My primary budget is below <35
My friend suggested me AMD based notebook..
Will it right choice for me to purchase AMD Turion X2 on behalf of Intel Dual Core..?

i have compaqv6211 is it fast as i thinkp4 2.6. idont know about dual core but nice as they r cheeap when i wasgoing to buy a laptop i laptop in v3000 with vista andamd63x2 with 80 gb hard disk was also nice. but if u think as a desktop replacment then dont buy as it heats up with about an hour . i dont know about other laptop but i think i use a cooling fan ori odnt know its summertime so it must be heating up quickly .but i recommed it in 35k and amd is not all that bad i think

thank dude whats is your budget pakka kk dude i would say go v3000 is it nice
simpley rocks jst see that u dont feel the screen small soo i think u should go for v6211 of compaq and u can also go for dell . i think after buying compaq .dell has a grt costumer servisee
