Question What is the best option???

I want to buy the Dell Inspiron 6400 and got stuck with the graphic card option in the customization menu . I have to choose from "256MB ATI Mobility Raedon X1400 Hypermemory" and "256MB NVIDIA GeGorce Go 7300 Turbocache" . I want to know whose performance is better? Is it possible to play FEAR @ 25fps(at least) with either of the cards in 1440*900 resolution ?

x1400 is better than 7300go. but the price is other way round and that is ridiculous. check out the reviews on the net. u'll find x1400 beating 7300 everywhere. one more word of caution, the terms hypermemory and turbocache are nothing but technologies to share grafix memory from the ram. the card may haf a dedicated amount of memory (64 or 128mb) while rest 192 or 128mb resp. is shared from the main memory. so do look out for any specs that mention how much dedicated memory is available.

that is the real question!! and it is undisclosed. u won't be able to find it unless u make a purchase!!! it mebbe 64+192 or 128+128mb!! the x1400 compares to 7400go. anyways to play fear at that res., u need a better card wid dedicated memory. look out for either x1600 or 7600go wid "dedicated 256mb" grafix memory and NOT turbocache or hypermemory. 7300go falls in the low end segment whlie 7400go/x1400 fall between low end and mid range segment. they mite be able to run fear but at max 800x600 or so.
