Anyone using Airtel FWP + Internet ?

Anyone here use Airtel Fixed Wireless Phone for internet ?

Any idea of speed offered by them ? I guess thats GPRS only ?

Any plans / tarrifs details ?

I already chcked their site but not much info on internet

Its just a co-incidence that I was about to post the same topic.
Actually I'm very fed up with RConnect speed. Its very slow now-a-days.
I heard that AirTel is providing Broadband in UP. So just wanted to know about the speed and charged.
Can anyone pls tell us about it?

Airtel is providing the FWP service under the name of Airtel Mega...
The Internet on that service is GPRS (Class 10)...
It is currently offering 3 instruments whose details can be checked here.
Some of the additional features of this service are:

• Hello Tunes
• GPRS,
• Voice Mail
• CLI
• call conference
• call wait
• call divert
• SMS

Under Airtel Mega, a tariff of only 40 paise a minute will be charged for local as well as intra-circle (within a telecom circle) calls to any mobile, for both GSM and CDMA; while for fixed lines, the call charges will be Rs 1.20 a minute (60 seconds pulse).
The Mega service will be available under postpaid and prepaid, and will be rolled out across the entire Airtel wireless network.

Currently Rs.75 will be charged for internet monthly in which 50MB free will be offered and for extra usage Rs.2/MB will be charged..thats seems pretty expensive!

And yes airtel is providing broadband in UP...

Oh! I use airtel broadband, the one with proper wiring etc not Fixed wireless plan..

but fixed wireless does sounds good, if it gives a speed of 128 kbps it good to consider for students etc

we here at agra are also using airtel broadband..256 kbps..speed
but we get speed of 512 kbps mistakenly ...4 months are already over
downloading movies and all..

we used to get bills of 50 -60 thousands/month and after some time of
suspended connection we get a waiver from them...
then we are happy again ...
thats our luck and airtel's......badluck..
