Unhappy Lost mobile

Hey guys,

I lost my cell phone( Nokia 6610i) on 31st Dec 2006..
I wanted to know if I can get it back..
I enquired about it at all places where relevant..

When I call on the No. ( 9810224981) I get that the cell is switched off
I have the IMEI no.
Plz anybody have any idea to get it back.. Plz.

Guess I didn't have such a good new year after all .

I understand your problem. Nothing can be done to retrive it back. It's gone. However, You can do onething. Just give the code number to service provider. The phone will become useless. He/she can't use the mobile even if new sim is inserted. That is the only option you have.

Cool Re: Lost mobile

Hi. It seems that the year started really bad for you. Anyway you can forget about getting it back (You can try the local gray market if you are desperate). Anyway do one thing first. Take your valid bill or original phone package to the local police station or the police station nearest to the area of incident, show the proper documents, give proper descriptions of the incident and file a FIR. Ask for a copy of FIR. Now take the documents and the copy of the FIR to the nearest Customer Care Center of your service provider. Show them the documents. You will get a replacement SIM with all the balance you had (If the thief haven't used them). And for your kind information now a days no service provider blocks the phone using the IMIE no. And believe me the process is long, time consuming and complicated. It seems easy to hear but it isn't. I've tried that myself. So move on.
