Digi Cam - Canon S3 IS or Kodak P712 or Sony H5 ? Which is better ?

In search of a good digi cam

Requirement - Good MP, like equal to or greater than 6 MP, need 1 GB card / stick extra + rechargable battery + charger (if they are not included in the pack) and ..

Optical Zoom - 10X min ! (I know digi zoom is useless)

Which is better ? I prefer Canon S3 IS so far

Any experiences with the above models ?

Also AA is good or Lithium-Ion and why ?

Any other things to notice while buying Digi Cam ?
