I've heard that nowadays even mobile phones are being insured...Is it true??

yes it's true.Only some dealers have this facilty and i think this is being offered by oriental insurance.

Yes.We can insure our mobiles.But the company from who u are insuring will give
u the current value of the phone & not the value at which u purchased it.
