Default How to Convert Mp3 to WAV


Hi,

Am having Nokia 3230, is there any software to convert mp3songs to wav, so that i can use as ring tone..

Just rename it, there's no real conversion taking place. Wav is a higher fidelity format, so the music isn't going to get any better because there's no extra detail suddenly coming into play because it's a wav.

What's the use of conversion?
It will only increase the size of the file and not quality. Nokia 3230 can use mp3's as ringtone.

Mp3 ringtones in older symbian phones like 6670 did'nt sound loud... wav ringtones sound much louder..

That only holds true for a wav tone if it has original quality. Once converted to an mp3, it looses it's quality. There was a discussion on this in the forum. So, once you convert it into mp3 then back to wav, it won't be of nay use. One of you'll can try it and post back the results.

thats applicable in PCs... in cells generally a mp3 has a low volume compared to wav tones....

convert mp3's to AMR, it take less space, and sound will be not so bad.
