Default E398 "System Error"

Recently when I play songs the phone shows a "System Error" message (after a while) and the MP3 files cannot even be played until a restart. Why is this happening? The problem still remains even after formatting the TF card.

Plz help.

If your warranty is over just try flashing the phone to a newer version of the E1 ROKR ROM.
Probably that may solve your problem.
The steps for the same are here:

Hope this helps.

Before you flash, check the MP3, maybe even re-encode it if necessary without any fancy settings. The E398 will also choke with VBR encoded MP3s, so check that too.

The Mp3 player chokes but never gives a 'System Error' as far as I have experienced.
