Yea 3220 can be used as a modem and once activated its EDGE feature is automatically activated which gives u a speed of 170-200 Kbps. But the service providers dont give u such speeds I think. Contact them and they may give a list of their plans to u.

Im using one and you'll get about 80 to 90 Kbps using it... Prices vary across service providers, for Airtel in Kol its 250 per month
