Don't know abt SE k700i but Nokia 6600 can be used as remote by installing some software. It was given in Digit long time back.

GPRS enabled phones cant work as TV remotes!!!!

Only phones with Infra Red(IR) can work as TV remotes since TV remotes also use IR signals.

There is a application for the Nokia Phones but none for K750i though.

Sony Ericsson Too has the IR Remote Fuctionality But the only requirement is the availibility of the IR port.
THe application required to convert your IR enabled phone is Psiloc`s IrRemote.
It can not only control Tvs but many appilliances.
I have used this appilication in SE P900.

U can find more info here -> shop.psiloc.com
But your phone isnot supported.....
