plz suggest a cheap EDGE mobile phone as Airtel is starting EDGE services on our Mobile Office. budget preferably belo 10k.
presently owning LG G 1800 bit it has no EDGE support

Best option is nokia 6630.It has EDGE+HSCSD.
U can get good download speed with it.

what is the max speed that u can get with a EDGe connection i get download speeds of 160kbps thats around 20kb/sec download (hutch www service) how much can u get on a airtel connection

6020 .. has edge but has Infrared

3220 .. good (but no BT)

Nokia 6021 is the best ... has EDGE & you can access net on computer through BlueTooth.

Airtel has already started it's edge service.... you can go for the 3220 or 6630... the 6630 is more expensive but faster.... the serial interface on the 3220 limits speed to bout 100 kbps... 12 to 13KBps... the USB interface on the 6630 does not
