Sony phones dont integrate the sms memory wid the phone memory as some nokia phones do.
The sms memory is limited to 180 messages. Howeever u can save the messages in drafts..those are stored in phone memory and are unlimited(dont know about w800, this was the case in k700, etc etc..)
But this will make u lose the sender and time/date of message..only keep the message!
I would suggest using some software like floats mobile agent or my phone explorer and backup your messages to the computer using bluetooth or the usb dongle..u can then choose and send from the comouter..ur memory probs will be solved!
