Has anybody tried gprs surfing on pc using this phone?
Can it compare to dataone 256kbps connection?

no way pal! you can just manage to get speeds eq to a 64kbps sustained connection wid edge.

I am currently using net on gprs through this phone.
It theoretically supports max. speed of 236 Kbps but it all depends on Network

exactly, that just theoretical...but practically the speed you get it dependent on various factors.
