SMS query

the normal SMS we send from our cellphones can it be read by the service providers . i kno they keep record of the time and day it was sent but can they also see the content .
this is just outta curiosity .meanin just wanted to know

As far as I know they record only the timestamps and the size of the message.

if they want to read it then they can.......they always have the details for a few months ...just in case...but i dont think they would ever give it out, except if the GOVT asks them to
