Nokia series 60 color palettes

Can somebody tell me what does color palettes do in themes in series ^) phones of Nokia. I have a N6630. i do not find any changes on changing the color palette of any theme.

This used to change some what like we see in 6610i .. changes colour
but now in 6630 etc .That doesnt changes anything .. best thing is .. just forget this setting .. Theme changes the colour it self .. just change the theme .
