Default silly question about SE K700i


hey frnds, I know this sounds silly but how do I turn off the sound when a pic is snapped with the camera?

I think u can do it only by setting the silent mode on.

yep, correct! tho on some phones wid european firmware even in silent mode it makes the sound. this is done just for safeguard!

This voice was added to prevent mischief. There were people taking pictures of others from compromising angles.

Sound makes it clear that a snap was taken. In some parts of the world, governments are considering to compulsorily make camera make a sound while taking pics

no..it cant be done even in silent mode...
and no question is silly..pls dont hesitate to ask anything

hey man, read my earlier post. the asian firmware allows to mute it when the phone's in silent mode. but some of the european firmware (i dun remember the exact version string) do not allow it.
