hey man, do this. convert the mp3s to 32kbps stereo. you'll be surprised to see that an average 4minute song takes just about 800kb wid almost no noticable reduction in quality! and the bundled headset blows anything that is thrown at it!! try it...google for dietmp3. this software will do the conversion wid just a click!

Hey,
when u reduce the kbps of an mp3 file...Definitely the quality will reduce! For that case, u can hav it for 64kbps. it wud be for say 2mb. This u can try it in ur pc:
Try increasing the rate to 512 and see the difference in playback...(with good soundcards n speakers). So, its gonna be the same in ur mobile too!

nope, don't convert to mono unless you wanna use it as ringer! the stereo effect is something to die for in k700i!!!!

hey there guys thanks for replying.
i was trying out infra_red's and prash007's suggestion. working really well.
heres one more way i found out.

phone supports mp4 format.got itunes converted to 64kbps 44100 khz.so if the song is bout some 4 mb shrinks to 1.7mb.quality still great.the sterio speakers output is mindnumbing.
well i tried thrash_metal's suggestion.its good if u just want da song 4 a ringtone.
i now have bout 15 songs(great quality) thank u guys.
