Question Android phone below 18000

Hi

I am looking for a good android phone and my upper limit is around Rs 18000/-

Requirements:
Android 2.2/2.3
Light Weight
Screen Size: 4"

Options I have seen:
1. Nexus S : I liked this phone, but my badluck I came to know later that it has been discontinued.
2. Samsung Galaxy S: I like this phone, only drawback is that it does not have a camera LED flash.(Which is very helpful at times as a torch)
3. LG Optimus Black : I like this phone, it has every thing that I am looking for, but it comes from LG. I am not able to rely on LG as a brand.

Please help me out and let me know if there are any other options that I can look for.

defy+ is really overpriced. optimus black is a half baked mobile. excellent hardware but still stuck in froyo & is equally buggy. heard about bad battery backup. gingerbread coming nov end but it most likely will be 2X more buggy. go for it only if you will try custom rom. lastly try Xperia V or Ray.

I checked at gsmarena both Motorola Defy and Xperia Arc does not have a secondary camera, which I feel is a good feature to have.

Get nexus S if you can find it! try ebay...
or galaxy S would meet your requirements.

Really? Would you want to ignore Galaxy S just that it doesn't have a torch light?? :O
c'mon... go for it! you wont miss torch light.... you can use screen for that...

go for galaxy S plus (if galaxy S is not available)

Galaxy S plus will cost at least 21k. Otherwise, it is a good option.

I would have settled for Galaxy S, but I feel the camera LED is useful for me, as I do use this at many instances in my current phone. (I understand many might not give much weight-age to this.)

And is Sony Ericsson a good buy, what about updates, do they provide regular updates.

I somehow only feel like choosing between HTC and Samsung

If u can extend ur budget a lil bit then u can buy HTC Desire S,I saw yesterday that it was priced for approx 19.3k on sulekha. It is far better than Optimus black and SGS.Or if u prefer not to buy it from sulekha u can get it from letsbuy for 20-20.3k
Extending ur budget further more u can get HTC Incredible S from Sulekha at 21k

If you can compromise on the camera flash SGS+ is VFM ph within 20k bracket since you requirement includes 4' screen and super amoled display is just awesome to worth spending 2k extra

went it in to some shops inquiring about HTC Desire S . To be frank shop keepers are half hearted in their effort to sell a HTC device .
Plus Desire S is stuck at 22k for quite a while now . Needs a Price cut .

Off topic but SGS Plus was available at 20k . But being a third revision to a model i did expected a flash this time . Samsung(Flash Less) going the Nokia Way now (Fixed Focus Cams).

U can get it online from letsbuy or sulekha or flipkart...
May be it is because they are getting less profit in HTC.But one thing I would tell u.I m having 3 phones in my home of HTC and they are awesome and I m fully satisfied and also I haven't experienced any problem in any of the phone....

Have you Checked out the Xperia Play? AKA The PSP Phone... U can get it for 19.5 K if you bargain a lot from Local Vendors....
Preferably look for phones which would get ICS 4
And as far as I know almost all phones from Sony Erricson (All the new ones + Some old ones like the Play and Arc) Are getting ICS!
