Nokia 8800 have a VGA cam only . Also no memory slot as you have asked me (in PM). The design is also not good (IMO), simple without any exclusiveness.
But performance wise, it's good, see if you like it and dont mind some of the features, it dont offers, then you can get this phone.

Why not Nokia 6680? It got all the features and also it's less than 25k.

K750i/W800i (both are same phones internally) are best in term of camera, but they don't have EDGE. And they are not symbian phones, so u cannt purchase and install symbian applications on them. But they support best feature sets

D500i is also a good phone.

Else 6680 is also good, but cam not as good as D500 and K750i/W800i, but u get Symbian OS and EDGE.

* Never wait for any new models that may be "coming soon",unless that it's gonna be coming over really soon. We can put off buying any models, as it will be coming and definitely gonna be good models.

* Nokia 8800 is ok, if you want just a EDGE, BT and a good reliable model. As I said it has a VGA cam, and the quality will be not be close a MP cam like Nokia 6680, or even 6681.

So a good cam phone : Se K750i --> 18k (2mp cam)
A good edge, BT phone : Nokia 6681 --> 17-18k (1.3 Mp cam, BT, EDGe)
So Nokia 6681 (or Nokia 6680 --> rs 22k) has a good mix of good cam and EDGe and BT.

* No idea abt d600, but samsung D500 is available for 17k. It's a good phone, see the review posted here in the forums (refer the sticky for linko)

SEw800i= 21000
6681=17500
at just 3,500 more a higher mega pixel cam and a significant amount of more memory.
plus 99 gms compared to 131 gm of noki a6681: I think its a much better buy

Biplav's right. The W800i makes more sense. Anyday. Looks cool too. Would have reccomended the D500 but it doesnt have expandable memory. K750i is good too.

but 6681 is symbian and also 3g. w800 lacks both. i know 3g means nothing in India coz god knows when 3g services will start here and how good they will be :roll:

but symbian is a major plus u can install loads of applications and aslo u can expand the memory both the phones have som pros and cons but its 6681/6680 for me

well having an os is obviously an adv.
this point will only count if the user requires an os.
but think it this way:
U get the Phone 6681; but to get the apps loaded u need memory- for that u again need to buy a memory stick.
On the contrary ; Sony Ericsson has 512 MB Memory and i honestly dont think u will require a memory upgrade.
yes the 3g wont make any diff. as it isnt gonna stick its head out in India in the near future,
yes it lags on the os front but i still think it gives the best value for money: None at the same price Gives U that big a mamooth storage space!!
And yes if u think the 1.3 MP camera of 6681 was good then get a shot of urself on this phone= u will realise wat quality actually means.
