hey guys i want to upgrade my ipod touch 4th gen software version 4.3.1 to ios 5.can you guys give me the direct download link of ios 5.but is it safe to upgrade to ios 5.are there any issues with the os?will it affect my battery life?thanks.and i dont want to download ios 5 using itunes please give direct download link.

"YOU CANNOT UPGRADE TO iOS5 WITHOUT iTUNES" That is Period ! Do a Google Search there are tens of thousands of sites which have information on how to upgrade to iOS5.

^^I think he dont want do it via connecting through internet and downloading the update.Ultimately you need iTunes although you need the .ipsw file to update it.Here the link and hopefully it will have the tuts also oderwise feel free to ask.

ios 5 update is of 761mb and it needs constant connection to update... I have tried very hard to update the ios but the problem is in India it's very hard to find an interconection that will not brake in between the upgrading process

there were issues report in iOS 5 regarding its battery life.but apple has released another beta 2 update for iOS 5 for developers...
