4. Preferred choice of brand? Sony,Samsung,htc
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type). QWERTY or touchscreen
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera. 5 mp with flash
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc). Android
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly. 3G, Wifi
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)?Flash, Skype, GPS
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)?Music ,camera,internet

If front facing camera is not must then u can try HTC Desire(its battery backup is not that good tough but its that best phone in that budget) available at 15.5k at or can try moto Defy.
Or if front facing camera is a priority then u can try HTC Salsa

No. Not Desire. It's too old now.

Go with Motorola Defy. It's the best one inside 15k, nothing else comes close.

^^ overall defy is better. desire may have a slightly faster processor & more ram but its really old and defy have good build quality.

I suggest Samsung Focus at 13k. Better hardware than Defy. Good price. Incomplete OS, but update on the way...

Sony Ericsson sk17i is also a good phone.But it has a very smaller screen.(3 inch).

Under Rs.15000, Nothing is better than HTC Chacha.
Because it is not missing anything.
It has:
Qwerty,Capaciative Touch Screen, 5MP Camera with Flash, VGA Front Camera for Video Calling, Wifi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Latest Android OS, HTC Sense UI, Dedicated FB button, Unique Design, Excellent Calling Quality.
Whats More.

I have prefered it over Moto Defy and Nokia N8. If physical qwerty pad not necessary then go for Moto Defy, else HTC Chahca. and yes say big no no to E6

If you can increase your budget upto 18k ? thn you can purchase Samsung Galaxy S which is VFM phone right now for all purpose like gaming,music etc.

See the basic rule for buying a smartphone is you cant get everything in one phone, either u miss flash, or superamoled or high dev support @xda or small screen etc.

Neo is also a good choice as per the price.

Edited :Neo is not available officially in India, so no warranty through official sony centers. Check ebay the dealer has mentioned 1 year dealer warranty. Ask the dealer before buying it.
