Move applications from phone memory to SD or memory card in Samsung Ace

I tried this link for Android 2.2 and above but "move to sdcard" is greyed out.

IMO, move to SD is only available for Gingerbread version of Android... When I was on Froyo, I used A2SD script...

You can use Apps 2 SD from the Android market... A lot of people use it...

I tried Apps 2 SD now, it doesn't work.

Should I backup everything on the phone to update the Gingerbread version ?

Ya, you cannot move each and every app to SD. If you want that thing, install Custom ROM.

Yes, after installing Custom Recovery do a full backup and keep a copy of it in your PC or somewhere else.
