It is Web OS and is the same for all HP(Palm) devices be it the Pre2,3,Pixi and now Veer.....
A great OS with superb multitasking capabilities and a lot of other innovations to go with it like touchstone and all search.
Not a good option if looking for Apps as it's app store currently does not have many apps and the major ones are missing.
As a device it is a capable workstation for mobile professionals especially the PRE but not sure about the pixi as it is quite small for the business user.
DEV is easy and is done using modified C.But the benefits ends there.Go ahead and buy for it's embedded finctionalities and nothing more.
