Best Mobile under 15-17K bucks

I am looking for a fone within 15,000 to 17,000 bucks..

I want to use my fone generally for messaging around 350 messages a day.
and around 2 hours of net surfing and 5-6 hours of music..

plz anyone suggest me a good fone, android would be preferable.

Increase your budget by 2k and get Galaxy SL. Otherwise get Samsung Ace, Moto Defy

Yup, go for Galaxy SL. A bigger screen is always better than smaller one when it comes to onscreen keyboard.

Go for Galaxy SL... If you can't, Go for Motorola Defy. Check both of them out!

If you are to choose from Ace & Defy, go for Ace blindly.

As for texting, a phone with a qwerty keypad should be preferred... and Motorola Milestone is just perfect for your use. It is also one of the thinnest QWERTY sliders around.

If Milestone exceeds your budget, check out Motorola Backflip.

milestone & backflip are just too old & H/W is slow. yes they can get the word done but if OP can wait, he may get SE Xperia Mini Pro. though it may be out of his budget at launch.

What if it is old, Milestone is still lot better than many of the phones around.

Milestone has got great reviews.. and I have never came across a line that claims its H/W to be slow.

SE Xperia mini pro can be bought for around 12k these days... and better models are available in the range he has specified.

Milestone is 5x better than Xperia Mini Pro.
